The Johnson JS-700 Series "Cali" electric guitar is a great choice for beginning guitar players. A thick, solid-alder body is used to create that beefy tone associated with the glory days of the electric guitar. It also features a solid-maple neck, fitted with a rosewood fretboard. This model uses better electronics than what's found on most guitars in this price range from other manufacturers. The JS-700 has 3 single-coil pickups matched with a 5-way pickup selector switch, one volume contol knob, and two tone control knobs. This configuration gives this guitar a huge range of tonal possibilities. The bridge is modeled after vintage fulcrum bridges and have 6 adjustable saddles.
